New amendments in the Law for Income Tax Levying and the Law for Taxes over the Income of Physical Persons were published in the State Gazette from 28 April 2009 as proposed during the campaign for keeping the tax benefits for donations, organized by BCNL with the support of a group of NGOs at the end of 2008.

On 9 March 2009 the Albanian Parliament adopted the Law on the Organization and Functioning of the Agency for Supporting Civil Society (Law No. 10093). The law was signed by the President and was published in the Official Journal of Albania on 2 April 2009.

Once again we remind you for two closing terms. The first one is for submitting the annual accounting reports to the local office of the National Statistics Institute related to the accountability of NGOs. The second one is for submitting the tax declarations under art. 92 from the Law on Corporate Income Tax and also paying the owed income tax.
