Main Objective: The project addresses problems related to individual and corporate philanthropy and with the activity of the Bulgarian NGOs. Among these problems are the rare and still weak partnership between NGOs and companies, the low capacity of NGOs for raising local resources, the low level of accepting of the motivation for charity, the lack if innovations and diversity in the models of charity. Another group of problems relates to the improvement of the management and capacity of NGOs and the creation of a more favourable legal framework fro their operations.
The project is implemented in partnership with the Bulgarian Charities Aid Foundation.
Expected results:
1. To improve the information and learning infrastructure in the field of philanthropy;
2. To improve the level of trust in NGOs through better governance and cooperation with local authorities;
3. To develop a common vision among NGOs for legislative advocacy;
4. To advocate for better environment in which NGOs operate through initiation of a campaign for legislative changes;
5. To improve the institutional capacity of BCNL and BCAF.
